Dryas drummondii

Yellow Mountain-avens, Yellow Dryad

Description

These grow further west in the mountains, they seem to stick to rockier spots where there seems to be little competition from other plants.  Just my observation.  How they do in a tamer garden situation I’ve yet to find out.  I do have spots to try them, I have plenty of room for them to spread out.  I think the only reason I don’t have them here is because they go on for miles & miles & more miles in the mountains.  I save my garden space for plants that are harder to find.
