Description
After 10 years at this current garden I can no longer separate the Dianthus deltoides. They have become a wild mass in this garden, they are extremely happy here! A little too happy, in fact I’ve never had them grow like this in any of my other gardens. I can’t explain it. They like the spot / location / climate / environment. So they’ve melded into whites to brillant pinks, and all in between.
Excellent for ground covers, brilliantly bright flowers, blooms June to September if you cut back the spent flowers. I’ve thought of using them as a pathway but haven’t attempted it yet.
