Columbine

Description

I originally got this seed from Garden’s North in ON, many many many years ago.  If I lose it, I restart it.  It came to me as Aquilegia saximontana.  It isn’t, but it does come true to seed.

This tiny gorgeous columbine is my all time favorite.  It is such perfection in a very small plant.  Everything about it is wee.

The blooms have tightly curled spurs even after the bloom fully opens.

Appears to be more resilient to the little green worms that have been attacking my aquilegia in this garden.
