I’ve yet to meet an allium I didn’t like, this one is hands down my favorite.  I have had this is my various gardens for the past 30 years.  It is the tallest allium I’ve seen, growing 3′ to 4′.  Give it a happy spot and it will perform.  It is the only allium (that I know of) that is this unique chartreuse color.  I love it, bees love it, critters leave it alone. Win.

This is a Eurasian species, growing wild from Romania to Mongolia.  I’m differing on what I find online for hardiness and description.  It is extremely hardy in my zone 2b, increasing steadily each year.  The leaves grow to about 2′, but the flower stalks will reach 3-4′ easily.  Very easy to start from fresh seed.  Usually blooms second year from seed.
